Kære alle,

Vil du være med til en workshop camp hvor vi giver den fuld gas med afrikansk musik og hvor du får mulighed for at lære trommer, dans og highlife med dygtige afrikanske musikere?

Så kom med den 27.-28. februar hvor vi i et samarbejde mellem DJM og African Footprint Foundation og Türkis udbyder et gratis workshopforløb designet til musikere og dansere, med interesse for afrikansk musik.

På workshoppen vil der være undervisning med fokus på:

Dans, Trommer, Highlife samt anvendelsen af afrikansk musik i det kunstneriske medborgerskab.

African Footprint Foundation er en forening der arbejder for at anvende musik som social brobygning. I Afrika anvendes musikken traditionelt som aktivt fællesskabende samlingspunkt, og inviterer med sin høje intensitet og deltagelsesgrad alle til at være aktivt med - både med rytmer og bevægelse. Vi vil på workshoppen derfor arbejde med fokus på børn og unge, ældre og musik som sundhedsfremme.

Workshoppen finder sted

Torsdag den 27. februar 2025 kl.15-21
Fredag den 28. februar 2025 kl. 10-18 + koncert fredag aften (20-23)

Om workshop-forløbet

Som deltager på workshopforløbet får du viden og praksiserfaring om afrikanske trommer, afrikansk dans og anvendelsen af afrikansk musik. Forløbet udstyrer dig med viden og træning i både dans, trommer og highlife band i større og mindre ensembler og forbereder dig på at kunne deltage i både sociale projekter med børn/unge og ældre samt event- og koncert aktiviteter. Du vil blive udfordret både personligt, kreativt og professionelt.

Du får bl.a. redskaber til at:

¤ Øge din viden om rytmer, trommer og skalaer
¤ Styrke din performanceevne og kreativitet igennem dans
¤ Blive klogere på dig selv og opleve masterdrummer-learning
¤ Skabe og indgå i samarbejdsrelationer på tværs af afrikanske og danske musikere

Om African Footprint Foundation

Med fokus på musik, dans, kunst, historiefortælling, folkeoplysning og velgørenhed ønsker AFF at bygge bro mellem kulturer og mennesker, skabe livskvalitet for mennesker, give indsigt i afrikansk kultur og hjælpe og støtte de underprivilegerede.

Vi organiserer interkulturelle aktiviteter, der involverer mennesker, mobiliserer afrikanske, danske og andre etniske musikere, dansere og kunstnere i Danmark, samt invitere musikere, dansere og kunstnere fra Ghana og Afrika generelt.

Dear All

Do you want to join a workshop camp where we give it full throttle with African music and where you get the opportunity to learn drums, dance and highlife with skilled African musicians?

So come with the 27th-28th. February where, in collaboration between DJM and the African Footprint Foundation and Türkis, we offer a free workshop course designed for musicians and dancers with an interest in African music.

At the workshop, there will be teaching focusing on:

Dance, Drums, Highlife and the use of African music in artistic citizenship.

African Footprint Foundation is an association that works to use music as social bridge building. In Africa, music is traditionally used as an active communal gathering point, and with its high intensity and degree of participation invites everyone to be actively involved - both with rhythms and movement. At the workshop, we will therefore work with a focus on children and young people, the elderly and music as health promotion.

Registration is required: REGISTER by sending an email to africanfootprintfoundation@gmail.com (Name, email, phone, instrument and whether you are most interested in dance, drums or band).

The workshop takes place:
Thursday 27 February 2025 from 15-21
Friday 28 February 2025 at 10-18 + concert on Friday evening (20-23)

About the workshop course:

As a participant in the workshop, you will gain knowledge and practical experience of African drums, African dance and the use of African music. The course equips you with knowledge and training in both dance, drums and highlife band in larger and smaller ensembles and prepares you to be able to participate in both social projects with children/young people and the elderly as well as event and concert activities. You will be challenged both personally, creatively and professionally.

You get, among other things, tools to:
¤ Increase your knowledge of rhythms, drums and scales
¤ Strengthen your performance skills and creativity through dance
¤ Learn more about yourself and experience master drummer learning
¤ Create and enter collaborative relationships across African and Danish musicians

About African Footprint Foundation:

With a focus on music, dance, art, storytelling, public education and charity, AFF wants to build bridges between cultures and people, create a quality of life for people, provide insight into African culture and help and support the underprivileged.

We organize intercultural activities that involve people, mobilize African, Danish and other ethnic musicians, dancers and artists in Denmark, as well as invite musicians, dancers and artists from Ghana and Africa in general.
