ABOUT US
We work with three Objectives
The objective of the foundation is to bridge gaps between cultures and people by using music, dance, drumming, art, and educative programs.
We call it Learn, Enjoy and Participate.
We link the potential to create a leaning bridge between Denmark and Africa by using music and dance to promote a healthier and happier life.
We do this by presenting African music in Denmark and do workshops and programs for young and old to participate, learn and enjoy.
In the African Footprint ensemble we connect and develop African music for African musicians living in Denmark, danish musicians who play African music and visiting musicians from Africa.
The foundation also aims to promote and facilitate intercultural exchange through charity and funding. It shall support the development of cultural projects in Africa and worldwide. Profit from cultural events, workshops, exchange events and other events must go untouched for development and charity.
VISION
With a focus on music, dance, art, storytelling, public education and charity, AFF want to build bridges between cultures and people, create quality of life for people, provide insight into African culture and help and support the underprivileged.
MISSION
In order to achieve the association's goals and visions, AFF must organize intercultural activities that can involve people, mobilize African, Danish and other ethnic musicians, dancers and artists in Denmark, as well as invite musicians, dancers and artists from Ghana and Africa in general.
BACKGROUND AND ORGANIZATION
African footprint foundation was established in 2017. It is a sister organization to African footprint international based in Ghana, cape coast.
The foundation operates from Danmark with a board chosen from the general ensemble. The organization is a flat structure and is organized in projects where every one can volunteer and participate
